Operations Intern

Motivf is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Intern to support internal operations and DesignOps initiatives. This role is ideal for someone interested in business operations, project coordination, and data management. The intern will assist with preparing for weekly DesignOps internal meetings, maintaining and updating a work utilization projection spreadsheet, and supporting various operational tasks to improve efficiency across the organization. We are looking for candidates based in the Alexandria, VA, or Washington, D.C. area who can come into the office occasionally to assist with additional internal tasks as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in operations within a fast-paced consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing agendas, materials, and follow-up items for weekly DesignOps internal meetings.

  • Update and maintain a work utilization projection spreadsheet, ensuring accurate and up-to-date tracking of team availability and workload distribution.

  • Support internal process improvements related to project tracking, resource allocation, and operational workflows.

  • Assist with data entry, organization, and reporting to support decision-making.

  • Collaborate with team members to identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements in internal operations.

  • Document key operational processes and maintain internal knowledge-sharing resources.

  • Help with various in-office tasks and administrative support as needed.

  • Perform other operational and logistical tasks to assist different teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately.

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, and other data management tools.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience or interest in DesignOps, resource planning, or business operations is a plus.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Must be based near Alexandria, VA, or Washington, D.C., with the ability to come into the office occasionally.
