“International Service Nonprofit”
Motivf collaborated with an International Service Nonprofit to conduct research into the users of their proprietary Learning Management System (LMS) and related offerings. Utilizing surveys, focus groups, and stakeholder interviews we are engaging users from over 100 different locations to build a series of validated user personas and journey maps.

Challenge
Our client recognized that there was a need to better identify who the end users of their Learning Management System and other training offerings are, what their needs are, and to build a more detailed picture of their motivations and aspirations.
Approach
Motivf designed a mixed methods approach that included quantitative and qualitative research with stakeholders and end users. Employing human-centered design tools such as 1:1 stakeholder and user interviews, participatory focus groups, and on-site guerrilla interviews, Motivf uncovered insights that were substantiated with an internationally distributed survey. The tens of thousands of data points collected are now being utilized to create validated user personas and journey maps depicting users on-line and in-person journeys through learning and training offerings.
Outcomes
This is an ongoing project, but the team has had extensive engagement from participants across the country. The findings and deliverables resulting from this process will help to shape the strategy used by the client to engage its 120,000 members in learning content and help them reach their professional goals.
